#JeSuisCharlie

As a cartoonist, I research a lot of material including considering the implications and message my cartoons convey before I put it out there. I did the same when I say ‪#‎JeSuisCharlie‬, because I am. I find cartoons by 'Charlie Hebdo' offensive - and that is just my personal opinion. However, I condemn and oppose the actions of a group of people/ terrorists, who decided it was okay, in fact, noble to take the lives of people who drew these cartoons. Je suis Charlie because people shouldn't die as a consequence of what they draw and opine on. Je suis Charlie because I fear that when people start killing people over materials they find offensive, they start dictating on behalf of everyone else what is offensive. I condemn the killings of the Jewish hostages from the supermarket, of the Muslim policeman and laud the brave Muslim man who helped many hostages. Je suis Charlie because terrorists are not Muslims. They only believe in terror.
